Holy Cross College Sta. Rosa, N.E., Inc. (HCC) has become aware of a circulating post containing statements that are misleading, inaccurate, and potentially damaging to the reputation of the institution.
For the guidance of the public, HCC wishes to clarify the following:
1. CHED-UNIFAST / LANDBANK DISBURSEMENTS
HCC has no comment on the disbursement of CHED-UNIFAST assistance through LANDBANK. These matters are governed by the policies, procedures, and implementing rules and regulations of CHED-UNIFAST and LANDBANK. The concerned agencies have their own processes and timelines for the release and disbursement of such assistance.
2. ALLEGED WITHHOLDING OF TRANSCRIPTS OF RECORDS (TORs)
Any claim that HCC arbitrarily or unlawfully withholds students’ Transcripts of Records (TORs) is misleading. The processing and release of academic documents are governed by institutional policies, applicable regulations, and established procedures and schedules. The institution will continue to observe due process and applicable rules in handling requests for academic records.
3. STRICT GUIDELINES FOR BOARD-EXAMINATION PROGRAMS
HCC implements strict academic and administrative guidelines for programs whose graduates take professional licensure examinations. These policies are intended to ensure that students receive the appropriate academic preparation, comply with institutional and regulatory requirements, and are properly guided in their pursuit of professional qualifications.
The implementation of academic standards and institutional policies should not be misconstrued as an attempt to deprive students of their rights or opportunities.
4. CLAIMS REGARDING NON-PAYMENT TO A REVIEW CENTER
The circulating claim that HCC has failed or refused to pay its obligations to the concerned review/testing center is untrue, unfounded, and misleading.
In fact, the concerned testing center issued an Official Receipt acknowledging HCC’s payment dated July 27, 2026. This official documentation directly contradicts the allegation that the institution has not been paying the review center.
Moreover, the institution’s agreement with the review center provides, under Section A, Paragraph 4, that all review materials, including but not limited to review monitoring documents and reports, shall be submitted to HCC for evaluation.
In this particular matter, the concerned testing center submitted the required documents on the same day that the circulating post was published (late submission) hence the deferment of the payment. HCC has established administrative systems, procedures, and schedules for the processing of documents. Consequently, documents submitted to the institution are processed in accordance with the applicable procedures and schedule and should not be interpreted as an immediate refusal or failure to act.
The institution also had to make necessary adjustments following the recent suspension of classes, during which the operations of concerned offices were likewise affected. These circumstances necessarily affected the normal processing timelines.
5. HCC WILL PROTECT ITS NAME AND LEGACY
Holy Cross College Sta. Rosa, N.E., Inc. has been serving the community for 80 years, building its legacy on quality education, academic excellence, and service to its students and the community.
That legacy is reflected in the continuing achievements of our graduates and academic programs, including recent strong performances in professional licensure examinations. Among these are the institution’s recognized achievements in the 2017 Licensure Examination for Teachers, including a Top 3 performer in BEED and a Top 6 performer in BSED in 2025, among other accomplishments over the years.
HCC respects the right of every individual to raise legitimate concerns and seek clarification. However, the right to express an opinion does not extend to the deliberate circulation of false, misleading, or malicious information that may damage the reputation of an educational institution and its people.
Accordingly, Holy Cross College Sta. Rosa, N.E., Inc. reserves the right to pursue appropriate legal action against individuals or entities responsible for deliberately spreading misinformation, misleading the public, or maligning the institution through false and unfounded allegations.
We strongly encourage the public to verify information before sharing or reposting claims, particularly those involving the institution, its students, personnel, financial obligations, and academic policies.
