SANTA ROSA, NUEVA ECIJA — The CBRC Nueva Ecija Branch Management has issued a formal apology and clarification to Holy Cross College (HCC), its students, and stakeholders following a misunderstanding that circulated online concerning the alleged “non-payment” of fees.
In a letter dated August 27, 2026, addressed to the HCC administration, CBRC Nueva Ecija expressed its sincere apology for the misunderstanding arising from its previous communication with the students. The review center emphasized that it had no intention to cause harm, inconvenience, or disrespect to Holy Cross College or its students.
Clarification on the Payment Issue
According to CBRC, its policy as a review center requires full payment before the final coaching session. The payment schedule, as stated in the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), had been mutually agreed upon by both parties. CBRC explained that the scheduled payments had not been made according to the terms stipulated in the agreement.
However, CBRC acknowledged that its previous communication with the students contained an inappropriate choice of words. The phrase “no payment” was mistakenly used when the intended message was “full payment.”
The review center recognized that the wording could have conveyed an entirely different meaning and may have caused confusion and concern among the students, the school, and other stakeholders.
Sincere Apology for the Misunderstanding
CBRC Nueva Ecija expressed regret over the error and apologized for any misunderstanding that resulted from the previous communication. The clarification seeks to distinguish the actual payment requirement from the impression that students had made no payments at all.
The review center further emphasized that the matter stemmed from a communication error and reiterated its commitment to maintaining a good and professional relationship with Holy Cross College.
Moving Forward in the Best Interest of the Students
The clarification comes as the issue continues to draw attention online, highlighting the importance of clear, accurate, and responsible communication, particularly on matters involving students and educational institutions.
Both the school and its partner institutions share a common responsibility to ensure that concerns affecting students are addressed with transparency, professionalism, and due consideration.
With the issuance of the apology and clarification, CBRC Nueva Ecija expressed its hope that the matter will be resolved and that its professional partnership with Holy Cross College will continue in the best interest of the students.
The incident likewise serves as a reminder that when concerns arise, proper clarification and direct communication remain essential in preventing misunderstandings and ensuring that information shared with the public reflects the facts and context of the matter.
