Holy Cross College proudly participated in the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office III seminar titled “A-C-H-I-E-V-I-N-G Real-Time Data Excellence and Gender-Mainstreaming for Region III Registrars” held on May 26, 2026, at The Orchid Gardens Resort Complex in San Fernando, Pampanga.

Representing the institution were Chief Registrar Ms. Laila Sarmiento and MIS representative Mr. Michael Jhonrein Garcia, who joined registrars and education personnel from across Region III in a meaningful discussion on improving higher education data collection, reporting systems, and gender-responsive registrar services.

The seminar highlighted CHED’s initiatives in strengthening real-time and accurate data management among higher education institutions. Discussions focused on the implementation of CHED Memorandum Order No. 45, series of 2016, annual higher education data and information collection, walkthroughs of annual data collection templates, and the guidelines and processes of the ECAV Portal and SO Application System.

Participants also gained valuable insights regarding Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) licensure examination guidelines and requirements, helping institutions better assist graduates in their professional journeys.

The event emphasized the importance of accuracy, efficiency, and inclusivity in educational data management, reinforcing the vital role of registrars and information systems personnel in supporting institutional excellence and compliance.
