In a solemn yet deeply meaningful display of faith and unity, the Holy Cross College (HCC) community once again upheld its cherished annual tradition of praying the Stations of the Cross. This spiritual activity, observed during the Lenten season, brought together students, faculty, and staff in a shared journey of reflection, sacrifice, and devotion.
What makes this tradition even more meaningful is the thoughtful placement of each station across key offices within the campus. From administrative areas to student service offices, these stations are strategically located to ensure that every HCCian has the opportunity to pause, reflect, and offer prayers at any point during the day. This setup transforms the entire campus into a living pathway of faith, making prayer both accessible and personal for everyone.
Held within the school grounds, the Stations of the Cross served as a powerful reminder of the passion and suffering of Jesus Christ. Each station was prayerfully commemorated, with participants pausing to meditate on Christ’s journey to Calvary. The atmosphere was filled with reverence as readings, prayers, and reflections echoed throughout the campus, encouraging everyone to look inward and reconnect with their faith.

More than just a religious observance, the activity fostered a sense of community and spiritual growth among the participants. It provided an opportunity for individuals to step away from their daily routines and embrace a moment of silence, humility, and gratitude. As the faithful walked from one station to another—whether during organized prayers or personal visits—they carried not only their intentions but also their hopes, gratitude, and petitions.
The annual Stations of the Cross at HCC stands as a testament to the institution’s commitment to holistic formation, nurturing not only academic excellence but also spiritual well-being. It continues to strengthen the bond among members of the community, reminding everyone of the values of compassion, sacrifice, and unwavering faith.

As the Lenten season unfolds, this enduring tradition remains a guiding light for the HCC community, inspiring all to live out the true essence of the Cross in their daily lives.
