The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) program of Holy Cross College successfully wrapped up its dynamic and engaging College Week with a grand culmination held at CityMall Santa Rosa. The event brought together innovation, creativity, and competitive spirit, highlighted by the esports championship and the awarding of winners across various competitions.

Throughout the celebration, students actively participated in a diverse lineup of activities designed to showcase their technical skills and creativity. Among the highlights was the Photo Booth event, where participants captured fun and memorable moments, adding a vibrant and social dimension to the 3 day-long festivities.

Equally engaging was the PC Assembly and Disassembly competition, where students demonstrated their hands-on expertise in computer hardware. Participants were challenged to assemble and dismantle computer units with speed and accuracy, reflecting their practical knowledge and precision, essential skills in the field of computer science.

The Speed Typing competition tested students’ accuracy and efficiency, pushing participants to their limits as they raced against time. This event emphasized the importance of proficiency and discipline in one of the most fundamental skills in computing.

The excitement reached its peak during the Esports Tournament Championship, held at the mall’s event area. Finalist teams competed in an intense showdown that drew cheers from fellow students and spectators. In a thrilling best-of-five series, the BSCS team “HANABI NI SIR JP” emerged as champions after defeating FBML15 with a decisive 3–1 score. Their victory showcased exceptional teamwork, strategy, and composure under pressure, earning them the top spot in the tournament.

Following the electrifying matches, the awarding ceremony immediately took place, recognizing the champions and participants of all events. Winners proudly received their awards, marking the culmination of their efforts and achievements throughout the College Week.

More than just a series of competitions, the BSCS College Week served as a platform for students to apply their knowledge, build camaraderie, and celebrate their shared passion for technology. The successful conclusion of the event stands as a testament to the program’s commitment to holistic student development, blending technical excellence with creativity and collaboration.
