The spirit of collaboration, innovation, and academic excellence filled the HCC AVR as the College Department of Holy Cross College successfully concluded its two-day “College Department Planning 2026” held on May 21–22, 2026.

Gathering program chairs, academic support heads, faculty leaders, and administrators, the planning workshop served as a strategic avenue for evaluating accomplishments, identifying priorities, and crafting operational plans that will guide the institution for Academic Year 2026–2027 and beyond.
The activity formally opened with registration, invocation, and welcome remarks led by college administrators, setting a tone of unity and shared commitment toward institutional growth. Support offices including Guidance, GAD, and Research also presented important updates and priorities relevant to student welfare, gender-responsive programs, and research initiatives.

One of the highlights of the workshop was the presentation of accomplishment reports from the various program chairs, showcasing key achievements, student and faculty milestones, and challenges encountered during AY 2025–2026. Discussions on accreditation and CHED feedback further strengthened the departments’ commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
The planning sessions focused heavily on aligning SWOT analyses with operational plan KPIs, enabling every program to strategically anchor its goals and initiatives on validated institutional needs and opportunities. Through breakout sessions and collaborative workshops, departments drafted and finalized operational plans, academic calendars, and long-term faculty development strategies.

On the second day, participants engaged in academic calendar drafting, budget proposal orientation, and calendar consolidation sessions, culminating in a plenary discussion with representatives from the Basic Education Department. This collaborative effort ensured alignment of institutional events, shared activities, and conflict-free scheduling across departments.
The workshop also emphasized the importance of teamwork and innovation in achieving the college’s mission of providing transformative and quality education. With the active participation of academic support heads and institutional leaders, the planning activity became a meaningful platform for strategic decision-making and future-ready academic leadership.

As the College Department Planning 2026 came to a close, participants left inspired and equipped with clearer direction, stronger collaboration, and renewed dedication to advancing Holy Cross College’s vision of academic excellence and service.
