The 1st to 3rd year Bachelor of Science in Criminology students of Holy Cross College (HCC) recently took part in an intensive and hands-on marksmanship activity at the firing range, an essential component of their professional training and development in the field of criminology.

The activity aimed to equip students with fundamental firearm handling skills, emphasizing safety, precision, and discipline. Under the close supervision of trained instructors, students were guided through proper shooting techniques, stance, target acquisition, and responsible firearm use. This practical exposure allowed them to apply theoretical knowledge learned in the classroom to real-world scenarios.
More than just hitting targets, the exercise instilled values of focus, control, and accountability, qualities vital for future law enforcement professionals. Students demonstrated not only improving accuracy but also a deep understanding of firearm safety protocols, reinforcing the importance of responsibility in carrying and using weapons.

The marksmanship activity also fostered camaraderie among students, encouraging teamwork and mutual support as they cheered each other on and shared insights throughout the training.

Through activities like this, HCC continues to uphold its commitment to producing competent, disciplined, and service-oriented criminology graduates, ready to serve and protect with integrity and excellence.
