In observance of Suicide Prevention Month this September, the faculty and students of the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) Program of Holy Cross College Sta. Rosa, N.E., Inc. participated in a Psychological Debriefing and Mental Health Support Program for Students.

The meaningful activity was facilitated by the Philippine Guidance & Counseling Association, Inc. – Nueva Ecija Chapter (PGCA-NE), which provided a safe and supportive space for participants to reflect, share their experiences, and gain a deeper understanding of mental health and emotional well-being.

The program emphasized that mental health support should not only be sought during times of crisis. Rather, it should become an integral part of everyday campus life, encouraging students and members of the academic community to recognize their emotions, seek help when needed, support one another, and build healthy coping mechanisms.
Through psychological debriefing and meaningful conversations, the BSHM community was reminded of the importance of listening without judgment, reaching out with compassion, and creating an environment where everyone feels heard and valued.

As the school community joins the global observance of Suicide Prevention Month, HCC continues to recognize the vital role of mental health awareness in creating a caring and supportive learning environment.
Together, let us break the stigma, encourage conversations, offer support, and remind one another that no one has to face their struggles alone.
Mental health matters. Your story matters. You matter.
