The Teacher Education Program of Holy Cross College once again proved its excellence on the national stage as its outstanding students brought pride and honor to the institution during the 3rd National Teacher Education Quiz Bee. With the inspiring theme “ASEAN to the World,” the competition gathered the brightest future educators from across the country in a battle of knowledge, wit, and academic mastery.

Held on April 27, 2026 (Monday) at Universidad de Manila, the prestigious event was organized by the Dr. Carl E. Balita Review Center and featured an impressive participation of 150 schools and 175 finalists nationwide.

Rising above this competitive field were Holy Cross College’s very own Gold Medalist Awardees:

  • Realyn D. Ramos – 4BSED-English
  • Jonard DJ. Sta. Maria – 4BSED-Mathematics

Their remarkable achievement is a testament to their dedication, perseverance, and deep commitment to the teaching profession. Competing against top-tier students from across the country, they demonstrated exceptional knowledge and critical thinking skills, qualities that define future educators who are ready to make an impact not only in the ASEAN region but across the globe.

Behind their success is the unwavering support and guidance of their coach, Ma’am Stephanie B. Ablaya, whose mentorship played a vital role in honing their competencies and preparing them for this national platform.

This milestone highlights the continuous pursuit of academic excellence by the Holy Cross College Teacher Education Program. More than just a victory, it reflects the institution’s mission to cultivate globally competitive educators equipped with the skills, values, and knowledge needed in an ever-evolving educational landscape.

As HCC celebrates this achievement, the triumph of these young educators serves as an inspiration to the entire academic community, proving that with passion, preparation, and purpose, HCCians are truly ready to go from ASEAN to the World.
