Holy Cross College (HCC) recently strengthened its commitment to campus safety as students participated in a comprehensive fire drill orientation conducted by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP). The activity aimed to equip students with essential knowledge and practical awareness on fire prevention, emergency response, and evacuation procedures.

The activity was facilitated through the leadership and guidance of John Christian D. Palomo (SFO1), Von Gerrick B. Carreon (FO2), and Rhea Dylle E. Tolentino (FO2). During the orientation, BFP personnel discussed the common causes of fire incidents and emphasized the importance of vigilance, preparedness, and quick response in emergency situations. Students were also oriented on the proper use of fire safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, and were guided on the correct steps to follow when alarms are triggered within the campus.
The session highlighted the significance of remaining calm and organized during emergencies, ensuring that everyone can safely evacuate designated buildings and proceed to identified assembly areas. BFP officers also encouraged students to take fire safety seriously not only within the school premises but also in their homes and communities.

Through this initiative, Holy Cross College continues to foster a culture of preparedness and responsibility among its students. By partnering with the Bureau of Fire Protection, the institution ensures that the HCC community is better informed and ready to respond effectively in case of fire-related emergencies.

The fire drill orientation served as a reminder that safety is a shared responsibility, one that begins with awareness, preparedness, and cooperation from every member of the community.
