During the celebration of College Week, the Bachelor of Science in Criminology (BSCRIM) students of Holy Cross College showcased their skills and knowledge through a series of interactive booths and activities. Spearheaded in coordination with their program and advisers, the initiative aimed to provide both educational and engaging experiences for the college community.

One of the main highlights was the blood typing booth, which aimed to help students, faculty, and staff identify their blood types, something many were not yet aware of. With the guidance of a licensed medical technologist, Ms. Laica Buenaventura from the Municipal Health Center, students were able to safely and accurately conduct the procedure. Prior to the activity, selected criminology students were given proper training and demonstration, ensuring that the process followed correct medical standards while also enhancing their practical knowledge in basic forensic and health-related procedures.

Another crowd-favorite was the firing booth, where participants were given the opportunity to experience handling a firearm using safe and controlled replicas. The booth allowed students from different programs to gain insight into how firearms work, while also enjoying a fun and interactive challenge with corresponding rewards based on performance.

Beyond the booths, the BSCRIM students also organized various sports activities such as basketball, tug of war, and “Harang Taga”, promoting teamwork, physical activity, and camaraderie among participants. These events added excitement to the overall College Week experience while encouraging unity across different departments.

Through these activities, the BS Criminology students demonstrated their ability to combine practical learning with community engagement. The initiative highlighted not only their technical knowledge and discipline but also their commitment to creating meaningful and interactive experiences for others.

As the booths and activities drew participation from across the campus, they stood as a reflection of the dedication, teamwork, and service-oriented mindset of future criminology professionals.
